Our Mission

Research

Our medical team scours the most recent health news, research journals, national guidelines, and the latest studies and trends and brings you this much needed information relevant to you and your health.  We dive deep into the tedious and often difficult to understand world of medicine so you don’t have to.

Education

We present the most important health information to help you better understand disease states, general health topics and much needed prevention.  We accept questions from listeners and try to address as many as possible throughout the various formats used on air.

Entertainment

We have fun quickly covering a broad range of topics including news-worthy studies, screening tests, common procedures, and our special segments: Wheel of Medicine, Name that Infection, 3-Shots, and My Blank Hurts. We present these from the various viewpoints of our team that range from zero healthcare experience to an expert physician.

About us

Health Files With Dr. Miles is a group of individuals dedicated to the betterment of health.

We are based in Metro-Atlanta, Georgia. Benji, an Atlanta radio personality and producer, hosted Season 1 and helped launch Health Files With Dr. Miles. He donated his time and helped give us the know-how and experience needed to move forward. Katie was part of the first few seasons and helped grow the show, educating and entertaining the audience before going on to the Medical College of Georgia to become a physician.

Tanner is our much lauded host of the show and started after Episode 6. He is a graduate of Texas Tech with a background in business, finance, and economics, and considered an overall whiz and guru in the world of personal finance and wealth management. He also has years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. We rely on his keen intellect and sharp wit to help keep the listeners informed and entertained. We hope to maximize our time with Tanner before a TV show swoops in to steal him from us.

Jinny is our Pre-Med co-host and main medical researcher. She is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Biochemistry and minor in Physiology. She is gaining quality medical experience while working as a medical assistant in a primary care office and further developing this show as it heads into radio. She will use her experience with HFWDM to help educate her own patients on achieving and maintaining good health. She looks forward to serving others in a long career in medicine.

Dr. Miles graduated from Georgia Tech before going to medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. He is a board certified physician in family medicine and has years of experience in outpatient family medicine, urgent care, and hospital medicine. Dr. Miles worked for the past decade exclusively in his own private family medical office and thoroughly enjoys his practice and getting to know his patients.

While we do our best to present the best and most factual information using evidence-based medicine, we are no substitute for your personal physician who can examine you in real time and treat you based on your individualized needs. Also, as a live show we may misspeak or misstate a fact or opinion. We encourage each person to develop their own relationship with a physician and have a complete physical examination annually, or more as needed, to help uncover any hidden ailments and address known problems or concerns.
